Building on the Gulf Islands is usually a challenge with a lack of electrical supply and lack of easy transport.
One particular project on Great Barrier Island involved a notoriously steep site which involved 6 metre poles to be erected on site.
We have build on sites where there are no roads to site (Kawau Island) all materials had to be barged and lifted by helicopter to the site.
One project on Waiheke Island involved a hill top site with no access. All materials were craned right up to the top as well as the owner’s personal project a Sleepout converted from a train carriage (very heavy) and placed on designed engineer foundations.
